weekly report (week of 11/22)

Reading: Page proofs for an article coming out soon.
Eating: leftover movie popcorn
Playing: Wicked: For Good Soundtrack
Obsessing: (Obsessulating) WICKED: FOR GOOD!!!!!!!
Recommending: The above, but I also recommend bringing tissues.
Treating: It's officially Thanksgiving Break, so I'm going to force myself to take one complete day off over break.

weekly report (week of 11/15)

Reading: Nothing fun. I'm reading back through my dissertation to catch any formatting errors.
Eating: It's soup season, and this week I made an italian sausage and orzo soup. Sort of a "use whatever you have in the kitchen" soup that accidentally turned out delicious.
Playing: The Outer Worlds 2, which has been an incredible experience so far!
Obsessing: I will admit to watching the window dance scene in Body Double a few extra times. For the cinematography, of course.
Recommending: Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein
Treating: I treated myself to a Minolta XG-1 for finishing my dissertation. :)

Reading: Re-reading my beloved, Kenneth Burke's A Rhetoric of Motives
Eating: Leftover Halloween Candy
Playing: We got a special box set of Sonic Youth's Dirty, which has been on the needle pretty consistently.
Obsessing: WICKED ONE WONDERFUL NIGHT LIVE SHOW!!!!!
Recommending: Cop out answer: same as above. Real answer: this week I re-watched If Beale Street Could Talk and I still completely adore it. Please watch this film so I can talk to you about it!
Treating: This week I treated myself to some whimsy. No further elaboration.
